October is the perfect time to gather with friends and enjoy the season’s festivities.

On Oct 22, 2022 Pet Palooza is coming to the Louisiana Boardwalk.
Hosted by the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission and the Louisiana Boardwalk, this free event will be filled with everything you need for a great day with the dogs. There will be pet focused vendors, pet adoptions from local animal shelters, the Super Retriever Series dock diving competition and the festivities will end with The Krewe of Barkus & Meoux Pet Parade.
Don’t forget to bring a leash so your pet can join the parade!
Come for a fun-filled day with your pet, adopt a new best friend, or come simply to support the cute, talented and furry pets who’ve traveled far and wide. Super Retriever Series (SRS) Crown Championship
On October 21-23, Eukanuba and Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission will present the two part super dock and retrieving event. Located on the boardwalk behind BASS PRO SHOPS, prepare to cheer on the best of the best retrievers and sporting dogs, including the country’s top High Flying Super Dock Dogs. All are encouraged to join in on the fun and try jumping their own dog on Friday, Oct 21. Retriever Trials will occur Nov 2-6. UKC Total Dog Invitational
You don’t want to miss the Total Dog Invitational happening Oct 20-22 at the Shreveport Convention Center. This performance and confirmation competition is free to watch. Coronation of Barkus & Meoux
You already know how special your pet is, so why not get the royal stamp of approval? On October 30 from 12-4 pm at the Seventh Tap, enter your pet to win a spot as the Krewe’s royalty. Raffle tickets are $1 each.
