Whether you’re hosting a potluck, you’re joining a casual Friends-giving, or you’re contributing to a traditional family meal, the question remains, “Whatcha’ Bringing to Thanksgiving?” Well, based on your enneagram personality type, I’ve predicted a few Shreveport-Bossier meals that you’re likely to offer your loved ones during the biggest feast of the year.

Don’t know your enneagram type?

TAKE THE ENNEAGRAM QUIZ!

Enneagram 1 -You’re bringin’ fresh flowers from C&C Mercantile and Lighting.

Personality Type: The Reformer – Purposeful & Perfectionistic

Because you’re purposeful and perfectionistic, you can’t stand the thought of preparing a dish that no one liked, so you bring a bouquet to Thanksgiving. This is clever, but Thanksgiving is about a good meal, and guests can’t eat flowers, so let’s not repeat this “clever” act in 2022. They also have coffee in their shop. Bring that WITH the flowers next year.

Enneagram 2 – You’re bringin’ various dips from Uptown Downtown Bossier.

Personality Type: The Helper – People-Pleasing & Generous

Because you’re a people-pleaser with a big heart, you decide to knock out two birds with one considerate stone. To ensure that guests can enjoy your Thanksgiving contribution, you bring a variety of dips from Uptown Downtown, which simultaneously supports the new restaurant on the block. But you for sure bring the Cajun dip.

Enneagram 3 – You’re bringin’ a charcuterie board from Sweet Cheezus, LLC.

Personality Type: The Achiever – Image-Conscious & Pragmatic

Because you’re an overachiever in every sense of the word, of course, you’d bring an elaborate display of meats, cheeses, fruits, and nuts to Thanksgiving. Ugh, such a show-off, but the guests are certainly thankful for the charcuterie spread.

Enneagram 4 – You’re bringin’ a pack of local beer from one of Shreveport-Bossier’s breweries.

Personality Type: The Individualist – Withdrawn & Expressive

Because you can be dramatic, withdrawn, and a bit temperamental, you’re bringing various beer from Brewniverse or brew from a local brewery to Thanksgiving. Although you never actually planned to share your brew with anyone, this ice-cold six pack will help keep your sanity intact if things go awry.

Enneagram 5 – You’re bringin’ old- fashioned cooked greens from Mahaffey Farms.

Personality Type: The Investigator – Innovative & Secretive

Because you’re secretive and innovative, you’ll develop a master plan to bring an iconic dish to Thanksgiving but under false pretenses. After purchasing Chef Hardette’s old-fashioned cooked greens at Mahaffey Farms, you placed them in your personal dishware as if you prepared them yourself. No one calls you out on it because they’re thankful that you brought them in the first place.

Enneagram 6 – You’re bringin’ the famous strawberry salad from Bistro To Go.

Personality Type: The Loyalist – Responsible & Engaging

Because you’re the responsible one, you know that there aren’t going to be many health-conscious meal options at Thanksgiving, so you’re bringing a strawberry salad. You even take it a step further by requesting the grilled chicken on the side, so that vegetarian guests can enjoy the feast as much as everyone else.

Enneagram 7 – You’re bringin’ Funfetti cheesecake from Whisk Dessert Bar.

Personality Type: The Enthusiast – Fun & Spontaneous

Because you’re a bit scatter-brained and spontaneously entertaining, it’s only right that you bring the most-craved, uber-vibrant dish to Thanksgiving dinner – Funfetti cheesecake. You put the fun in Funfetti, and that’s why everyone loves you.

Enneagram 8 – You’re bringin’ a heavy appetite and an uninvited guest.

Personality Type: The Challenger – Confrontational & Willful

Because you can be slightly confrontational with a bunch of dominating characteristics, if you brought an uninvited guest to Thanksgiving dinner, no one would be surprised. Hopefully your “guest” contributed because it’s likely that you only brought an appetite.

Enneagram 9 – You’re bringin’ a Cajun turkey from Bergeron’s Boudin and Cajun Meats of Shreveport.

Personality Type: The Peacemaker – Agreeable & Easy-Going

Because you’re the peacemaker, you volunteered to take on the most important duty at Thanksgiving, the turkey. It’s likely that you overheard a few of your friends or family members complaining about eating a bunch of side dishes last year, and this year, you opted in for turkey duty. Expect an invitation to Thanksgiving dinner every year. Also, expect to take on the turkey task…every year.

If you’re an enneagram 8, don’t be salty. These are just my own enneagram predictions based on my minimal knowledge, but also long-term obsession, of personality studies. No matter your enneagram results, own who you are and bring whatever you want to Thanksgiving. In an era where gathering is difficult, be thankful to spend time with your loved ones while enjoying a great meal.
