If you picked up Glow Alchemy Kitchen, Chef Jessica Comegys’s beautiful new restaurant located at 955 Pierremont Road in Shreveport, and dropped it in Beverly Hills, it would feel completely at home. From the breathtakingly beautiful interior, complete with a “green wall,” white marble counter tops, and hot pink neon, to the daring, mostly-vegan menu, Glow is more of a mood than any other restaurant space that I’ve visited in Shreveport-Bossier.
Current hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Breakfast hours may be added in the future. Like Caspiana Catering + Glow Alchemy Kitchen on Facebook to keep up-to-date.
Comegys, who recently competed as a finalist in the Louisiana Food Prize‘s Battle of the Golden Fork and hosted a sold-out dinner during 318 Restaurant Week, is excited about all that this new space will allow her to do.
“I’m most excited to be able to host cooking classes here,” Comegys said. “As a caterer, I’d have to rent a venue and pack my car full of things in order to host a cooking class or a special dinner.”

Glow’s big, open display kitchen is surrounded by counter seating; it really is the perfect place for a cooking class.
As far as the menu goes, there’s a lot that may feel unfamiliar to folks who don’t eat a plant-forward diet. There are macro bowls, bulletproof coffee, and Moon Juice cosmic lattes with “add in dusts.”
If the whole thing seems a little too California, I’d encourage you to give it a shot – maybe a golden turmeric Moon Juice shot? – before deciding that you’re not beautiful enough to dine at Glow Alchemy Kitchen. On the day of my visit, I definitely had the highest body mass index in the building, but a friendly welcome and a delicious salad set me at ease. By the end of my meal, I almost felt good enough to take a selfie with my dirty chai cold brew. Almost.
