Hannah and Brannon Alexander’s Kiltabar Transport, which launched in June of 2019, brings some much-needed fun and funkiness to local party shuttle offerings. While Shreveport-Bossier City has several great shuttle bus companies, those companies focus on providing the latest, most luxurious vehicles and technology in service of area conventions and major events. Kiltabar Transport is the polar opposite of those companies, providing an affordable and quirky transportation option for groups that don’t mind riding in a bus that may be older than they are.

“It’s a 25-year-old bus, you know, it’s nothing luxurious, but you can put 44 of your best friends on board and not have to worry about a thing,” Brannon Alexander told me as I toured the vehicle. “We’re keeping really busy, and we’ve gotten really positive feedback.”
The bus itself is a 1995 Bluebird “All-American,” which seats a total of 45 folks. While Alexander will be the first to point out that the bus isn’t “fancy,” I personally found the interior of the bus to be more comfortable than many modern coaches. The seating is old-school roomy, heating and A/C work well, and there’s a rocking sound system. You can even slide your window open.
Because of lower overhead costs, Alexander – who drove a bus professionally for four years while attending Texas A&M – is able to offer highly competitive rental rates. However, because Kiltabar Transport is not his primary source of income, Alexander has the luxury of being able to be choosy in regards to which bookings he’ll accept. Upcoming bookings include a group outing to the upcoming Miranda Lambert concert at CenturyLink Center, a flip trip to Ruston for a Bulldogs game, and a progressive dinner around Shreveport-Bossier.
