The Red River Revel Arts Festival, coming up Sept. 28 through Oct. 6, 2019, has posted a partial schedule of live music performances planned to take place during the upcoming event. You can view the schedule of performances here. The Red River Revel Arts Festival takes place in Shreveport’s Festival Plaza, located at 101 Crockett Street, and admission ranges from free to $5.
At first glance, highlights of the nine-day festival include: Mississippi blues rockers Bishop Gunn, 8:30, Saturday, Sept. 28; Christian indie rock quartet Colony House, 7:45 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 2; up-and-coming country star Chase Bryant, 8:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 3; Rising Star alum and Youtube star Macy Kate, 8:45 p.m., Friday, Oct. 4; and an album release party for Seratones featuring support from the New Breed Brass Band, Saturday, Oct. 5. The Seratones show proper will begin at 8:30 p.m., but a Music Prize showcase leading up to their performance – complete with a second-line through Festival Plaza – begins at 6 p.m. The festivities involving Seratones ought to make for a fun night on Oct. 5. As always, there are some live music gems scheduled for the smaller Eldorado Performing Arts Depot Stage, including performances by Trout Fishing in America, Centenary Suzuki School, Star Chamber, and others. See more of the lineup here. The Revel also features lots of visual artists displaying and selling their work; this year’s festival will debut an “Emerging Artists” section with 32 new and emerging artists.
Food vendors for this year’s festival can be seen here. Among the items that will be debuting at this year’s Red River Revel Arts Festival: koolickles, something called “Mardi Gras waffles,” the “Falcon Freeze,” and more. Keep an eye on the official festival website for lots more info to come.
