Could you use some free entertainment this Fall? If the idea of winning about $427 worth of tacos, pizza (and/or beer), gift certificates, and even a free hotel stay at the Hilton Shreveport sounds good to you, stop by our website and enter to win the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau’s latest giveaway before midnight on Nov. 2, 2019. You’ve got to be 21 years old or older to win this prize; see the complete rules here.

There’s a lot of good stuff in this prize package: a one-night stay at the Hilton Hotel Shreveport; $50 to spend on craft beer and pizza at Flying Heart Brewing & Pub; $25 to spend at The Enchanted Garden; a $40 gift card to Don Juanz Baja Beach Tacos, four passes to the 2019 State Fair of Louisiana; four free passes to Escape Bossier; and a $25 gift card to Parish Taceaux.

Deb Cockrell at The Enchanted Garden (right) is the kind of old-school shopkeeper that makes shopping for a gift feel like an adventure.

One of my favorite items in this prize package is the gift card to shop at The Enchanted Garden, a gift boutique on Line Avenue that feels sort of like a clubhouse for co-owner Deb Cockrell and her team. Every time I step foot into The Enchanted Garden, Cockrell is giving a wide-eyed customer a whirlwind tour of cool new items. If I won the gift card to shop at The Enchanted Garden, I think I’d take it to the shop, ask for Deb, and say: “What’s the coolest thing you’ve got in this shop priced at $25 or under?” A guided tour of her shop would surely ensue.

After you’ve entered the contest, take a moment to browse upcoming fall festivals in Shreveport-Bossier. From the Highland Jazz and Blues Festival and Prize Fest to the Red River Revel Arts Festival and the ASEANA Fall Festival, Shreveport-Bossier does fall festivals really, really well. Why not plan a visit and see for yourself?
