Giveaway: Win Tickets to Holy Angels’s Annual TASTE Fundraiser on Sept. 26

This giveaway has ended. Congratulations to Audra W. on winning the giveaway!

Holy Angels’ annual TASTE: A Festival of Food and Art is one of Shreveport’s biggest and longest-running food events. The 38th annual TASTE will take place, 5:30-9 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 26 at Bossier Civic Center. More than 30 local chefs will be serving food, there’ll be live music from Windstorm, as well as the event’s popular silent auction. Tickets are $70 each and may be purchased here. Proceeds will support Holy Angels in their mission to provide a better life for individuals with disabilities in Louisiana.

RSVP to the Facebook event for TASTE: A Festival of Food and Art.

The folks at Holy Angels have been kind enough to give 20×49.com a pair of tickets (face value $140!) to give away to one lucky reader. One winner will be selected randomly and notified via e-mail, so please don’t enter using an e-mail that you don’t check! 🙂

More than 30 Shreveport-Bossier chefs are scheduled to contribute dishes to TASTE, a major annual food event benefiting Holy Angels.

Of course, the food probably shouldn’t be the main reason you attend TASTE…but good food from 30 chefs doesn’t hurt. I asked an event organizer if they could share a list of participating food vendors, even if it’s not final, and here’s what I was sent:

o Featured Chef – Shelly Marie Redmond with Skinny Louisiana
o Fat Tuesday Sandwich Shop & Bakery – praline bread pudding
o Lowder’s Baking Company – fresh fruit danishes
o The Port Grill
o Buffalo Wild Wings – boneless & traditional wings with different sauces
o Crawdaddy’s Kitchen – crawfish supreme
o Drake Catering and Whisk Dessert Bar
o Eagle Distributing – beer and wine
o East Ridge Country Club – chicken crepes
o Fairfield Bed & Breakfast – shrimp and grits
o Frank’s Pizza Napoletana
o Glenwood Tea Room – scones and sweet treats
o Holy Angels Culinary – lasagna and cookies
o Jacoma’s Catering
o Market 104 Hilton
o Monjuni’s – meatballs and pasta salad
o Music Mountain Water
o Nothing Bundt Cakes – assorted flavors of bundt cake
o Parish Taceaux
o Rhino Coffee
o Shaver’s Catering – blackened alligator wraps
o Shreveport Coca Cola Bottling Company
o Shreveport Fire Fighters – fried fish, French fries, and hush puppies
o Southern Trace Country Club
o Sweetport
o Taziki’s Mediterranean Café
o The Chocolate Crocodile – chocolate covered strawberries and truffles
o The Shreveport Club
o Thrifty Liquor – beer & wine samples with cash cocktail bar available
o Village Cuisine Catering & Café

The event is also know for having a pretty stellar and foodie-friendly silent action. One of this year’s food items? A year’s supply of pie from Strawn’s Eat Shop. If a lucky 20×49.com reader wins the auction for endless pie, I’m just saying that I love butterscotch.
