Line Avenue, a popular boutique shopping and dining corridor in Shreveport, follows an arrow-straight path from downtown Shreveport to Cedar Grove. Along the way, travelers pass some of the most interesting antique stores and boutique shops in Shreveport, as well as some great spots for food and drink. Apex Communications and Events has designed the inaugural Chillin’ on Line Avenue, 6-10 p.m., Wednesday, July 24, to help visitors and locals get acquainted with businesses like C&C Mercantile and LightingWhisk Dessert Bar and Superior’s Steakhouse. Tickets are just $10 and each stop along the tour will include snacks and refreshments. Guests must be 21 or older to purchase tickets.

RSVP to the Facebook event for Chillin’ on Line Avenue.

At each stop along the way, ticket holders will be given the royal treatment: “hand-crafted adult popsicles” by Sweetport at C&C Mercantile, a pig roast and tropical-themed desserts at Whisk Dessert Bar, an ice luge and a heckin’ diamond giveaway at Superior’s Steakhouse…there’s a lot. You can read the entire description of the evening’s many perks, giveaways, etc. here. One participant who makes it to every stop (guests can either drive themselves or board a luxury shuttle) will win $250 cash.

Giveaway time: The organizers of Chillin’ on Line Avenue have provided three free passes to the event for us to give away at 20×49.com. To enter, just send an e-mail with the subject line “I need to chill” to CJay@sbctb.org by 10 a.m. on Monday, July 22. You must be 21 to win this prize and the winner’s ID will be checked. One winner will be drawn at random to receive the free passes.
