Sights from the 2018 Krewe of Harambee Parade in Shreveport

I never miss the annual Krewe of Harambee Martin Luther King Jr. Day Mardi Gras Parade in downtown Shreveport. The parade begins each year at 1 p.m. on Martin Luther King Jr. Day near Shreveport Municipal Auditorium. The parade circles downtown Shreveport via Milam and Texas streets, beginning and ending near the intersection of Milam Street and Common Street. Following the parade, there’s always a brief, informal battle of the bands held on the steps of Shreveport Municipal Auditorium that is not to be missed. These photos were taken in 2018. Enjoy the gallery!
