If you’re a food and wine enthusiast in the Shreveport-Bossier region, chances are good that you already know and love Kuan Lim. Lim is the friendly, welcoming proprietor of Lucky Palace, a gourmet Chinese restaurant in Bossier City that is widely known throughout the southern United States for its unbelievable collection of fine wines. Over the last year, Lim has endured some significant health challenges that have left many of his friends in the local restaurant industry wondering how they could help.
On Sunday, Sept. 10, 2-5 p.m., Sip UnLIMited: A Tribute to Kuan Lim will be held at Margaritaville Resort Casino Bossier City as a fundraiser for Lim. From the time the event was first announced, I felt certain that the local restaurants and wine purveyors who stepped up to participate in this event would really “show out.” I was right about that. While only a partial list of food and wine vendor details was available as of Aug. 28, here’s a taste of what you can expect to eat and drink at Sip UnLIMited:
