UPDATE: ACCORDING TO POSTS ON THE SHREVEPORT MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM FACEBOOK PAGE, THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

Star Trek fans in the Shreveport-Bossier City region got some great news recently when it was announced that Shreveport Municipal Auditorium will host the national tour of Star Trek: The Ultimate Voyage on Friday, March 25. Star Trek: The Ultimate Voyage is a celebration of Star Trek‘s 50th anniversary, featuring a live symphony orchestra performing music from the Star Trek films and television series while iconic Star Trek moments are projected in high def on a 40-foot screen. The 100-city tour kicked off today (January 26, 2016) and will run through April.

For the convenience of detail-oriented Star Trek fans (I know a few!), I did some digging and tracked down a little more info on what music and scenes will be featured in the production: “The concert will feature some of the greatest music written for the franchise including music from Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Trek: Insurrection, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager and much more.”

Tickets range from $35 to $55, plus applicable fees, and may be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com or in person at any Ticketmaster location. Tickets are on sale now.

  1. I was in a Star Trek club in Shreveport, LA. in the 70’s. We were Trekkies. It was a great club and we didn’t want channel 6 to stop showing it. An excellent show and Movies. I’ve seen them all It sounds fantastic to go and see this program. Live long and Prosper.

  2. Apparently, all mention has been scrubbed from their Facebook page. Seems pretty lame on their part, you can’t just erase it and pretend it was never announced. At least give a reason, even if it was poor management on your part, Muni.
