A 12-hour-long social media freak-out ensued among Shreveport-Bossier’s Gen Xers (and folks of other demographics, as well) when comedian and actor David Cross (Mr. Show, Arrested Development) recently announced his upcoming April 19, 2016 performance at The Strand Theatre. A handful of hours later, indie rock icons Modest Mouse announced that they’ll be performing at Shreveport Municipal Auditorium on Thursday, April 28. Among those of us who spent our 20s (and 30s…and 40s) listening to Modest Mouse and binge-watching Arrested Development, it sounded a little too good to be true. Was someone playing a trick on us?
Nope, aging hipsters (note: the author of this post includes himself in that group), it’s really happening. April is going to be a lot of fun.
