Mr. Peanut’s Nutmobile Tour to Make Shreveport-Bossier Stop, Oct. 27-31

“If you would have told me four years ago that I would be traveling the country in a giant peanut after graduation, I would have said you were nuts.”

So begins one of many pun-filled, always entertaining posts on the official blog of the Nutmobile Tour. The Nutmobile’s “Bucket List” Tour is a cross-country voyage currently being made by Mr. Peanut, the iconic mascot of Planters Nuts, and a team of friendly folks called “the Peanutters.” One of the Peanutters recently informed me that the stylish, monocle-wearing peanut will pull into Shreveport-Bossier in his 27-foot-long, eco-friendly Nutmobile on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015 and will make several appearances before leaving town.

Here’s a list of Mr. Peanut’s planned Shreveport-Bossier appearances, all of which are great opportunities for Mr. Peanut’s adoring public (the guy’s Facebook page has nearly 700,000 likes!) to meet-and-greet with the legendary legume. If you’re planning on catching Mr. Peanut and his fancy ride at one of the Shreveport-Bossier appearances, please consider bringing a donation of new or gently used clothing, as Mr. Peanut will be gathering clothing donations for the Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission. New undergarments (underwear, socks, boxers, etc.) are especially appreciated.

At each stop, Mr. Peanut will be happy to meet fans and take photos. If you’re sharing photos of Mr. Peanut or the Nutmobile on social media, Planters would love to see them – just use the hashtag #MrPBucketList. The Nutmobile is also on Twitter, if you’d like to give them a “follow” and keep track of their adventures in Shreveport-Bossier.
