Shreveport’s own Front Cover Band has been serenading the area music lovers as well as audiences in Texas and Mississippi with, their captivating renditions of R&B favorites for four and a half years. Front Cover Band was founded under the leadership of band director TaShakka Stills, who is also the owner and General Manager of Timeless Soldier Productions.
They’re known for not only recreating classics, but weaving in their own original material to show they are much more than the average cover band. As a result the six-member group has already gained a local fan base that is continuously growing with every performance.
“We are a very versatile group being able to perform old school selections as well as Top 40 Hits that the crowd will undoubtedly recognize. We pride ourselves on making the song sound as close to, if not better than the original, with the lead singers we currently have” Stills said.
The band operates with two lead singers, both who have reached national notoriety for their vocal exploits. LJai, of the recently-reunited hit R&B group Profyle splits lead singer duties with Larry “The Voice” Ellis, whose vocals have backed up iconic artists including Patti LaBelle and Chaka Khan.
The Front Cover Band wants it to be known that they are ready and available to play any occasion and almost any location. Their soothing sound can meld flawlessly with any function.
