Fun in the Sun and Run in the Mud

The focus of this event is to instill a fearless state of mind and to treat life’s obstacles the same way you would in the mud race, do not fear the mud and obstacles, but make them fear you. The Mud Fears Me Run, taking place this Saturday, April 13, is designed just for that purpose. The Mud Run is a 3.1 mile course featuring over 20 obstacles and more mud than I have seen in one place at one time. Each obstacle is guaranteed to give you a real sense of triumph, only eclipsed by the feeling of completing the next obstacle. Everyone that enjoys outdoor activity, regardless of your fitness level, will likely enjoy getting dirty and feeling like a kid again.

At this time adult registration cost for the event is $85, which includes one free beer (for those of legal drinking age), a Mud Fears Me participant T-shirt, a finisher medal and access to food and live music. A $5 donation will be added to each registration to support the charity Max Cure Foundationthat benefits pediatric cancer research. Mud Fears Me and the Max Cure Foundation are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of all children and families living with pediatric cancer.

The race will be held at Highlifter Off-Road Park, 7140 Colquitt Road in Keithville, LA. The first wave of runners will start at 9 a.m. with another wave starting every 30 minutes after.  According to organizers this run will give you an opportunity to have a ton of fun, forge a bond with other participants that you did not think possible and give you a true sense of accomplishment that will be well deserved.
