This Saturday, February 23, the Louisiana Soundtrack Experience will present “From Elvis to Hank to Johnny: Celebrating 65 Years of the Louisiana Hayride,” a day-long celebration of northwest Louisiana’s rich musical heritage. Beginning at 2 p.m. with a panel discussion moderated by Oxford American Guest Editor Alex Rawls, the event will also feature a 4 p.m. screening of the LPB documentary Sunshine by the Stars and a 7 p.m. concert featuring Dirtfoot, the legendary Louisiana Hayride Band, and special guests including “X-Factor” finalist Willie Jones. The best part? Admission is absolutely free.
