Shreveport native Kix Brooks, one-half of the legendary country duo Brooks & Dunn, will have a homecoming of sorts at 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 24, when he takes the stage at Shreveport Municipal Auditorium to perform a fundraiser concert benefiting the Tipitina’s Foundation’s “Instruments-a-Comin'” program. Tickets are now available for the event, which will also feature blues guitarist Sonny Landreth, best known for his innovative slide guitar style. Click here to purchase tickets.

Now in its 11th year, the “Instruments-a-Comin'” program has purchased $2.5 million dollars worth of instruments for more than 4,000 students in the New Orleans area, and is now expanding into the Shreveport-Bossier area. The Tipitina’s Foundation has already worked with Huntington High School to donate over $20,000 worth of new instruments for their band program. 100% of all proceeds from the Kix Brooks concert will benefit “Instruments-a-Comin'”.
Tickets start at $30. VIP tickets, including special seating and a pre-show VIP reception, are also available for $250 each. For information on VIP tickets or event sponsorship opportunities, e-mail Kathy Melancon at kcmelancon@att.net.
