Hear an Ode to Ol’ Blue Eyes at SLT

The Shreveport Little Theatre is a community theater dedicated to supporting the arts and local talent. It’s a given for SLT cast members that performing arts celebrate the good things in life like culture and laughter. Since 1922, the SLT has been bringing musicals, plays, dramas, and comedies to generations of audiences, and this weekend the tradition continues.

If you’re a Frank Sinatra lover make plans to attend one of the eight performances put on by the Shreveport Little Theatre. Beginning at 8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 13, and running through Sunday, Sept. 23 take time to reminisce as some of our community’s most gifted performers take the stage at 812 Margaret Place. The musical review will feature 56 of Sinatra’s famous ballads and choreography by Sandy’s Dance Center Dancers. I’m especially excited to see my old college classmates Amanda Geneux and Cory Olson share their talents in this special performance.

So, why Sinatra? According to the SLT, it’s a crowd pleaser. This musical tribute to Ol’ Blue Eyes had a run a few years back, and the community filled the seats with sold out performances from the show’s opening to close.

My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra is a two-hour musical performance, that will run for two consecutive weekends. Tickets are $22. Visit www.shreveportlittletheatre.com for more information or to purchase tickets. You can also reserve tickets by calling (318) 424-4439. Click here for show times.
