Nothing sets game day off like a good tailgating party and this year’s Port City Classic fans, as well as music lovers, are in for a big treat.
The Grambling State University Tailgate Party, which is set for noon to 5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 1, will feature a live concert with Shreveport’s own, Windstorm.
The popular soul, funk and R&B cover band has been performing for more than two decades, winning fans all over the world with their high energy shows. Plus, they’ve opened for a laundry list of big names in R&B music, including The Isley Brothers, Cameo, Gerald Levert, Luther Vandross, Lakeside, Zapp & Roger, H-Town, ConFunkShun, Tyrese, Eric Benet, Bobby Brown and Usher.

The GSU Tailgate Party will be held outside the AG building on the state fairgrounds. Admission is $7 or free with your game ticket. The concert is free. Visit the Port City Classic website for complete details.
