A family that plays together, stays together – if they’re lucky. Fortunately, luck isn’t the only thing that family band Eisley has going for it.
The Tyler, Texas rock band, comprised of siblings Chauntelle DuPree D’Agostino, Sherri DuPree-Bemis, Stacy King, Weston DuPree and their cousin Garron DuPree, may look like a group of youngsters not a day over 25.
However, their repertoire goes as far back as 1997 when they first formed and became the popular house band for their parents’ coffee house/rock venue for four years from 1998 to 2002.
By 2003, they were signed to Warner Bros. Records and released their radio hit single Telescope Eyes, before launching their debut album Room Noises in 2005.
Throw in all of the albums and EPs that followed, including Combinations and The Valley; tours with some of the hottest names like Coldplay and Switchfoot; a TV debut on Late Night with Conan O’Brien; hot festivals like Coachella, and Voodoo Fest and you get the idea that this is a definitely a band on the rise.
Find out what all the hype is about when they come town Thursday night to perform in concert at the all ages venue, Media Star Entertainment Hall. They’ll be joined by special guests Merriment and Trueli.
Meanwhile, I’m digging this single, Smarter, from their 2011 album, The Valley. Check it out.
