Going to the movies is more than just sitting in a theater seat, munching on popcorn and staring at a big, wide screen when you visit the Robinson Film Center.
The independent film house not only brings some of the hottest indie films to Shreveport-Bossier, but they turn it into an entire experience with their fun, monthly themed nights and events and if you stop by there over the next couple of days, you may get a chance to join in .
Get ready for the flash, the drama, the music, the colorful costumes and the non-stop action that makes Moulin Rouge one of the hottest Oscar-nominated musicals out there. The Baz Lurhman film, starring Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor, will be featured at this month’s The Freak-Out! event, a monthly showcase of modern classics and cult favorites. The fun starts at 10 p.m., Friday, June 22 and Saturday, June 23. And as part of any Freak-Out! goes, don’t expect to just sit quietly and look at the flick this time.
