Several years ago, I had the opportunity to travel abroad to Ireland with a group of college co-eds. Being of Irish descent I was thrilled to trace back my family heritage, tour the green island…and ashamedly look for Lucky Charms and Leprechauns. (The Irish don’t find that amusing.) I’ve always been a St. Patty’s Day fanatic, and tonight, one of my favorite downtown Unwind Pub and Culture Crawls is all about the Luck o’ the Irish.
This is one of my favorite downtown events to get a group of friends together and take on the town. Typically, we leave the crawl with some kind of souvenir cup, a better appreciation of places we’ve visited and memories to keep us going until the next time we get together. Tonight, crawlers can enter to win a crawfish boiler equipped with a stirring paddle and a dozen crawfish plates.
Tonight, everyone is Irish, so throw on something green, grab a few friends and register for free starting at 5 p.m., at Artspace, located at 710 Texas Street.
