Since September 24, 2011 an interactive theatre experience has been changing the way people experience puppet shows in downtown Shreveport. Artspace and HI-YAH! Productions’ presentation of Fantastic Mr. Fox, a live puppet show was so popular, after the original closing date of November 27 passed the show was extended to December 31. Well, we’re here to tell you The Fantastic Mr. Fox has once again been extended due to popular demand. Now until January 15, you can get your final fix of the larger-than-life show that has captivated audiences for the past 15 weeks.
If you haven’t experienced the show, click here to see a preview. Participants actually crawl into a life-size foxhole and become a part of the live theatre production. From the moment you walk through the doors of Artspace, located at 710 Texas Street you’re immersed in a farmland fantasy. After crawling through underground tunnels, participants slide down two stories of terrain to enjoy the show from inside a foxhole. Show times are listed here, and they’re filling up fast.
