If you’ve been caught up in the holiday hustle like I have, waiting in long lines, making those last-minute purchases and wading through horrendous traffic jams, you deserve to treat yourself with a brief pause before the big day.
And nothing loosens up those tension knots like kicking back to good live music, which is exactly what you’re in store for if you stop by Mr. Christopher’s Holidazed Hootenanny: Plan B, this Friday at Columbia Café.
I’ve caught Mr. Christopher’s live shows several times through the years and I’ve always enjoyed his colorful, folksy, interactive, humorous, storytelling style of music. Yeah, that’s alot of adjectives, but I’m telling you, it’s all there in his music and live performances. Whether you’re laughing at, clapping to or nodding in agreement with his lyrics, you’ll definitely be left feeling good.
The show also features performances by one of my favorite local singers, A.J. Haynes (think a modern-day Billie Holiday, or Ella Fitzgerald with a folksy edge and a guitar,) as well as Haydon Camp and other special guests.
Plus, the refreshment list includes beverages and… fudge!
So, if you’re looking for holiday fun on the Eve of Christmas Eve, this is the place to be.
