We all know the elements to a great Mardi Gras celebration: big parades, lively music and tasty food, all available spread out among various locales around town … Now, imagine getting all of that in one place and you’ve got Parti-Gras 2013: Masquerades, Music and Muddy Water.
The new event, co-hosted by Twine on Line restaurant and the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau, along with Holiday Inn Downtown and SPAR, offers a new way to experience Mardi Gras with live music, drinks, food and more. And all of this fun will be going on under a huge party tent this Saturday, Feb. 9, at the corner of Clyde Fant Parkway and Lake Street during the Krewe of Gemini Parade.
It’s similar to the Mardi Gras Bash that the Tourist Bureau annually hosts for group tours, Twine on Line owner Rick Rose explained, “but this one is more geared toward reaching the younger, millennial crowd. It’s all about getting a true Mardi Gras experience in a comfortable, easy-going environment.”
One pass gets you two drinks, Louisiana-style cuisine, custom Mardi Gras beads, live entertainment, royalty appearances, prizes and an invitation to an after party at Twine on Line. And you get all of this at the perfect location to get in on the Carnival madness.
Tickets are $45 in advance, $50 at the door and $40 for groups of 10 or more. Space is limited though, so get your tickets now. Call Twine on Line at (318) 759-7673 or visit www.parti-gras2013.com.
NOTE: Parti-Gras 2013 is only for participants ages 21 and up.
