The third installment of 20×49.com’s regular “Dine-In” dinner series has been announced, and will take place at Greek Corner in Bossier City at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17. This meal is going to be much different from previous Dine-Ins. The centerpiece of the evening will be a traditional Mediterranean rice and lamb feast prepared by Chef Haitham Eldarazi. This dish features an entire roasted lamb served in rice that is prepared with raisins, pine nuts, saffron and more. Accompanying this dish will be a homemade yogurt sauce that traditionally accompanies lamb in Lebanon. Cost is $20 per person and includes non-alcoholic beverages.
Chef Eldarazi will share the story of his personal culinary background with those in attendance. A native of Beirut, Lebanon, Eldarazi is a naturally charismatic host with a passion for Mediterranean cuisine.
To RSVP, please respond to the Facebook event. Please only respond if you are planning to attend, as we use the Facebook event as the official “head count” for these dinners. A couple of notes about this dinner: In an effort to preserve the traditional nature of this group meal, there will not be a vegetarian option for this installment of the Dine-In series. However, Greek Corner does regularly feature a variety of vegetarian menu options, and they enthusiastically invite vegetarian diners to give them a try. Also, there will be no alcohol (BYOB or otherwise) at this event.
Greek Corner is located at 2153 Airline Drive in Bossier City. Questions? Drop me a line at cjay at sbctb dot org or give me a call at (318) 429-0658.
