Halloween is just days away and if you’re looking for a way to get spooked, Shreveport-Bossier is definitely the right place to be. In case you’re still planning for some ghoulish fun to get into, check out some of these events:

Trail of Terror at DixieMaze Farms

Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch Night Frights, 7:30 p.m-midnight, Wed., Oct. 31 at DixieMaze Farms, 9596 Sentell Road, Shreveport.

If you haven’t experienced a Night Frights at the DixieMaze Farms, this is your last chance to be scared out of your wits until next year. Pick your choice of either the Trail of Terror or Field of Screams and be ready to be surrounded by haunters who will do everything they can to scare you, some will even reach out and touch you. Expect blood-curdling screams, explosions and more during this fast-paced, intense adventure. Tickets range from $21-$26. Visit their website for rules, details and more.

Annual Halloween Candlelight Tour, starting at 6 p.m., Wed., Oct. 31 at 725 Austin Place, downtown Shreveport.

If you love a good ghost story, don’t miss this chance to take a tour of and hear the paranormal tales that lie within the famed Logan Mansion. Storyteller Jan Pettiet will exhibit Victorian mourning clothing and share stories of unusual centuries-old death customs, while the mansion’s homeowners Billy and Vicki Lebrun will guide guests through the 17-room 1897 Queen Anne Victorian residence. The Freak-Out! Presents The Thing, 10 p.m. Wed., Oct. 31 at 617 Texas St., Shreveport.

There’s nothing like a good horror flick on Halloween and the Robinson Film Center is where you can find one when The Freak-Out! presents The Thing, the 1982 film starring Kurt Russell and Keith David. The movie tells the story of a “thing” that takes the shape of whatever it kills and it’s enough to leave you screaming in horror. Admission is free for RFC members and $5 for those with costume. Scary Central Big Top of Terror Haunted House, 7 p.m. Wed., Oct. 31 at 4401 Viking Dr., Bossier City.

For Halloween fun that your kids can enjoy, Part Central Family Fun Center is your destination. For the 9th year, the locale will present its haunted Scary Central Scream Park featuring terrifying elevator ride, darkened maze, twisted clowns and surprises, a haunted acting troupe and more.
